Why These Readings Are Different

Hellenistic Astrology at the Foundation

The primary Western framework I use is Hellenistic astrology, an ancient astrological tradition that developed more than two thousand years ago and has undergone a major revival as original texts have been translated and studied again.

Hellenistic astrology emphasizes Whole Sign houses, planetary rulership, planetary condition, house rulers, lots, angularity, and timing techniques.

This allows us to move beyond a simple description of a planet in a sign.

The chart becomes a network of relationships rather than a list of separate meanings.

Fixed Stars

My readings also incorporate fixed stars when they are closely and meaningfully connected to important planets, angles, or significant chart points.

Fixed stars come from an ancient astrological tradition and can bring an additional level of specificity to themes involving vocation, visibility, recognition, unusual talents, challenges, major turning points, and distinctive life patterns.

They are used selectively.

Major Asteroids and Minor Bodies

I also work with selected major asteroids and minor bodies when they add meaningful information.

These can sharpen themes involving commitment, partnership, healing, independence, attraction, creativity, and other specific dimensions of experience.

Potential Is Different From Activation

Something can be strongly indicated in a natal chart without being equally important every year of your life.

The natal chart describes the underlying potential and structure.

Timing techniques help reveal when a particular part of that structure moves into the foreground.

This distinction between potential and timing is central to how I read a chart.
